Manchester United Strikers

Despite losing Argentinian Striker Carlos Tevez and Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo during this summer, Manchester United still have a wealth of talent in their stunning ranks.

Wayne Rooney signed from Everton in 2005 is the focal point of Man Utd's attacking options and is probably the clubs best player. An English born forward, he has skills, passing and vision and couples this with a fierce determination and winning attitude that incorporate to make him a guaranteed starter when fit. With Ronaldo having now left the club, Rooney will be the man to make the team tick and will be very important in both creating and scoring goals for the team.

Dimitar Berbatov is a Bulgarian international and is Man Utd's report signing. He signed for the club for £31,000,000 in the Summer of 2008 from London club Tottenham Hotspur. Despite the high exchange fee Berbatrov had a disappointing first season at the club, scoring only 14 goals and will need to markedly enhance his performances to have a successful impact at the club/




Michael Owen was signed this Summer on a free exchange having been released by Newcastle United at the end of his contract. The striker has been plagued by injuries for some years and the signing of Owen was a huge surprise to everyone in the football world. Being an ex-Liverpool Fc player there are many United fans who are very unhappy with the move. He will most probably be used as an impact sub over the season and all Manchester United supporters will love to see him score the winner at the Kop End against Liverpool.

Federico Macheda came straight through the youth ranks at Old Trafford and made his debut against Aston Villa in the Premier League in April 2009. He could not have had a more dramatic and successful debut, scoring an injury time winner that was crucial in winning the Premier League for Manchester United. A tall strong Italian, many are predicting a huge time to come in the game for him.

Daniel Welbeck is someone else who came straight through the youth ranks at Old Trafford and like Macheda scored on his first team debut with a 30 yard top angle screamer from 30 yards. Tall and pacey he is skilful with his feet and Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes he will make the England National squad for the 2010 World Cup.

Although United have 5 strikers at the club they are constantly being connected with players with Samuel Eto'o and Sergio Aguero the newspapers favourites to come to the club.
